About Us
The main aim at Lac Diable is to give you the best fishing experience possible.
The lake is situated close to Limoges giving easy access by road, rail and plane.
The nearby market town of St Leonard de Noblat offers a range of provision including tackle shop and several supermarkets. For those reluctant to leave the lakeside for any length of time within a 5 minute drive there is the closest thing you can find to a corner store in France, selling cold beer, bread etc. However with our additional food option there is very little reason to leave the lakeside.
 
The lake was purchased in 2006 by Colin Jeans who has stocked it with an additional 2 tons of carp. This is the first time the lake will be open as a carp fishery. It was the concept of a local man, built to his plans and then passed down through his family.

Whilst the lake was drained stock levels and growth rates were checked. Colin also took the opportunity to remove tree stumps, canoes, old fishingrods and all other potential snags from the lake. 
The nights were spent bivved up next to the holding tanks monitoring oxygen levels and safe gaurding the carp.
 
It was a busy period and all hands were on deck!

Netting the carp
 
The fish were netted and sorted, 400kg of bream were removed. There are over 2 tonnes of carp, 1 cat fish of over 70lbs, 15 pike up to 14lbs and 100kg of roach.
